About Me

Hi there, I'm Katlin. I am 26 years old, born and raised in Calgary, AB, Canada.

I've always loved candid photography. Even when I had pictures taken of myself I hated "posed" images. When I was very young I had a Crayola film camera. Then I moved up when I was 14 I bought my first camera. It was a junky cube camera, 2mp, but I loved it. I loved taking pictures of anything but especially animals.

I saved up an bought a Lumix point and shoot, which was great but I couldn't stand the delay. I learned quickly to work around it. I shot many pictures at our cabin.

That summer a family friend at our cabin showed me his Canon DSLR. It was amazing, the photos he could get, and after trying it I decided I wanted one. After much research I purchased a Nikon D3000. I currently have a Nikon D3. And so it goes. I now have several lenses and a manual camera body, and still shoot Nikon.

A bit more in depth
